Title: Keeping up Signal Integrity in Complex PCBs: EDA Tools Evolved

Date: June 27, 2023

Time: 8am PT / 11am ET

Sponsored by: Keysight Technologies

Presented by: Saish Sawant, Application Development Engineer and Product Owner of SI-EM Solutions, and Bram de Greve, SIPro and PIPro R&D, Keysight Technologies

Abstract:
Signal integrity is critical in developing any electronic device, ensuring data and power signals are transmitted correctly. As technology evolves and devices miniaturize, printed circuit boards (PCBs) become more complex and densely packed. This poses new challenges for signal integrity analysis and design optimization. Electronic design automation (EDA) tools must evolve to keep up with these challenges to ensure time-to-insight remains as short as possible and release cycles are not affected. In this webinar, you will learn:

  • Overview of the latest trends and technologies in signal integrity engineering.
  • Leverage advanced EDA tools to expedite and connect the entire design workflow.
  • Enhance productivity using Python and High-Performance Computing resources.

Presenter Bios:
Saish Sawant is Application Development Engineer and Product Owner of SI-EM Solutions with Keysight Technologies - PathWave Software Solutions group. He graduated from University of Colorado – Boulder with focus on RF/Microwave and Signal Integrity. Prior to graduate school, he worked for Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER), a Government of India R&D institute in Mumbai, India as Research Scientist developing RF frontend sub-systems.

Bram de Greve graduated with an MSc. in Electrical Engineering at Ghent University in 2003. In 2008, he joined Agilent Technologies as a software engineer, working on EM simulation technologies. After a brief detour, he rejoined Keysight Technologies in 2017, where he leads the SIPro and PIPro R&D teams since 2023.
